Trouble Won't Last Always

A  typography -interactive book showcasing the work of American ethnomusicologist and folk musicologist Alan Lomax from "The Alan Lomax Archive".

The book aims to present Lomax's work in the same way he approached the music he studied—placing it and its creators at the center. This concept serves as the book's foundation, where the music remains the focal point, surrounded by elements that describe and explain it. The book is crafted and bound using the French fold technique (French binding), concealing all the images within its pages. Readers are invited to tear the paper to reveal the images, exposing them to light—an essential metaphor in Lomax's work, symbolizing the act of bringing creators into the 'light' of recognition, irrespective of their status, skin color, or origin.
